Most artists start with a Music Production project:

1. Set the deal. Create profiles, then the artist sends a work request to the producer or invites them to join Musicpher first. The producer accepts and sends an estimate (flat fee, hourly rate, royalty split, or hybrid). When the artist accepts the estimate, Musicpher creates the project. The artist adds songs during project setup, then both parties sign the Music Production contract Musicpher generates from the agreed terms.
2. Deliver and approve. The producer uploads finals (or shares stems). On flat fee deals, files stay locked until payment.
3. Get paid. The artist pays online. Producers and engineers receive automatic payouts. Royalty splits stay on record for future earnings.

Every Music Production project uses one deal type. After you accept the estimate and add your songs, Musicpher generates a legal contract for that deal type. Both parties sign before work continues.

• Flat fee (work for hire): The artist pays one agreed amount at checkout when finals are delivered. Files stay locked until payment. The artist keeps full master rights after payment; the producer has no backend royalty stake. Best when you have a clear budget and want clean ownership.
• Hourly rate: The producer is paid for session time at an agreed hourly rate through the platform. The producer may also receive a negotiated percentage of future master revenue. Best for open-ended studio work when hours are hard to estimate upfront.
• Royalty split: No fixed production fee at delivery. The producer earns an agreed percentage of master revenue as it flows through the platform. Both parties pay a one time $39 activation fee ($19.50 each) when the deal starts. Best when budget is tight but you expect the song to earn.
• Hybrid (fixed fee + backend): A reduced flat fee paid at checkout when finals are delivered, plus a smaller backend royalty percentage. Files stay locked until that payment clears. Best when some budget exists but backend royalties still matter.

On flat fee, hourly, and hybrid deals, artists pay online at checkout (standard payment processing only). Producers and engineers pay a 10% platform fee on automatic payouts.
